Castlegar Hyundai opened its doors in September, 2009, led by Keith Kalawsky, the dealership's owner and General Manager. Castlegar Hyundai was named as the authorized Hyundai dealer for the West Kootenay Region, including Castlegar, Nelson, Trail, Rossland, New Denver, Kaslo, Creston and all communities in between. Keith worked as a financial journalist before joining Kalawsky Chevrolet in 2006 as its Controller. After a few years of specialized training, Keith approached Hyundai Canada to bring its well-respected vehicles to the area.
